Downloading Form Spreaker
Some Spreaker shows are blocked from downloading. Here is a simple and free method for downloading audio from Spreaker plus media from YouTube and other web sites. I am sure there are are other methods and browser add-ons that can be used, but this one is simple and works for me. If you are using Windows you will need to have Firefox or Chrome installed. I prefer Firefox as it allows me to run a YouTube ad-blocker and download from YouTube. Plus this also works in Firefox on Android devices. I use this as my backup method if my FFMPEG live stream recording fails for whatever reason. This is beneficial if you want to download a show using your home wifi and then play the show on your commute or at work without killing your smartphone data plan.

-
You will need to have Firefox or Chrome installed.
-
You will next need to install the FVD (Flash Video Downloader) add-on/extension.
FVD for Firefox / FVD for Chrome -
Using Firefox or Chrome, browse to the Spreaker page you want to download from and begin playing the file you wish to download.
-
The FVD download arrow in the toolbar will change from grey to blue once FVD detects that there is a media file available for download. It should turn blue once you begin playing the Spreaker file. In Android the arrow is quite small and located on the right hand side of the address bar.
-
Click on the FVD download arrow once it turns blue.
-
You should see a download button like in the screenshot below. Click it to begin downloading the file.
-
Once the arrow turns blue and FVD detects the file, you can stop playing the file.
-
When the file finishes downloading you can play it offline with any media player you wish.
